#GamingBytes: Fortnite brings out new Season 6 update
Fortnite has gone live with its latest Season 6 update. Update 6.01 is live for Xbox One, PS4, PC, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch. Notably, servers are expected to be down as the update is being introduced to the game. Developers Epic will be bringing a new trap in this update and improve gameplay experience, besides fixing bugs. Read all about it here.
Your enemies will get cold feet before attacking
The most significant change being brought to the game is the Chiller. Categorized as a common trap, it will appear in bundles of three in floor loot, Treasure Chests, Supply Llamas and Drops, and Vending Machines. The trap can be applied to floors, walls, and ceilings. It will give icy feet to players, causing them to slide around, due to reduced friction.
Other changes coming to Fortnite
Players had complained earlier that vehicles, sometimes, became uncontrollable in the game. Epic has now fixed the bug. Moreover, more playground customization options are coming to the limited time mode. Players can now access more options in the playground, which will let them tinker with settings like starting health, time of day and gravity among other things.
Issues resolved across platforms
Maintaining the immense popularity of Fortnite requires hard work. The developers, in this update, addressed issues across all platforms including Nintendo Switch and Android. Keeping all their gamers happy is clearly the way to success. In this light, Switch users have better motion control, improving accuracy and gameplay experience. Android users were previously unable to interact with certain items, which has also been fixed.
