#GamingBytes: Fortnite reveals new Fortnitemare Challenges and Deadfire Skin
Fortnite developer, Epic will be making the most of the Halloween festive spirit by launching a special themed event, as we had reported. Notably, its Halloween-themed event will be available for both modes- the Battle Royale and Save the World. The former will require players to complete a set of challenges in order to win brand new cosmetics and loot. Read about it here.
The list of challenges declared
Players have to complete the following challenges- destroy 200 Cube monsters, deal 5,000 damage to them using assault rifles or pistols. They also have to dance at 5 different Gargoyles and visit 7 Corrupted Areas in different matches. Notably, the Cube Monsters, which also yield loot, will change the gameplay as players have to tackle these fiends while trying to survive against enemies.
Arm yourself to the teeth
While the addition of Cube Monsters will surely make gameplay more challenging, players can arm themselves with the new weapons. Epic is bringing the Six Shooter and Fiend Hunter Crossbow to Fortnite, which we cannot wait to try out in-game.
All about Fortnite's new outfit
The new Deadfire Skin has been described as a 'new type of reactive outfit'. This means that the suit will change as players progress in-game, allowing them to show off their skills with panache. The skin comes with a reactive Dark Shard pickaxe and Shackled Stone Back Bling. It will change depending on how long players survive in-game and the damage dealt to enemies.
How soon will these come to Fortnite?
All the cool features outlined here, along with gliders which can be redeployed, will be coming to Fortnite with its new update 6.20. Though no date has been announced yet, it should drop soon with Halloween just around the corner.
