#GamingBytes: 'Fortnite' map gets more snow covered areas
Winter has finally arrived in the world of Fortnite. The popular Battle Royale by Epic is known for keeping the suspense alive. Its latest suspense seems to be related to snow covering the map from the start of Season 7. Recently it was discovered that more areas of the map were being covered by snow, much to the excitement of the gamers. Read here.
The snow at the start of the season
First time, snow was seen in Fortnite right at the start of Season 7. Players saw that the snow had covered the entire south-western part of the map. While this was the biggest change, the snow also added a few points of interest.
The spreading snow was first noticed by a careful gamer
A user on Reddit going by the name Burning Tooth, pointed out that the current map looked different from how it did at the start of the season. The user also pointed out that the edges of the snowy biome were expanding and it appeared that some areas like Snobby Shores, Lucky Landing, and Tilted Towers were more covered in snow than before.
How long is it taking for the snow to spread?
While the speed at which the snow is currently covering the map is unknown, the changes were first noticed before the beginning of '14 days of Fortnite'. Since it has been three weeks since Season 7 started, the changes most likely began to appear a few days back. This makes us believe that players are likely to see more snow spreading, in near future.
What could the ice mean for Season 7?
The start of Season 7 had teased that 'a bitter ice' would spread which might have foreshadowed this change in the map. Most gamers are of the opinion this signals some major event in-game like the appearance of the mysterious purple cube, called Kevin. Nonetheless, gamers have to wait and see what surprises Epic has in store for them.
