#GamingBytes: Fortnite 'Save the World' won't go free-to-play in 2018
Fortnite is one of the most popular Battle Royale games globally. This is primarily because it is free to play. On the same lines, Epic had planned to make the 'Save the World' mode free to play for all, in 2018. However, the game studio has now indefinitely postponed this plan. Notably, the delay was announced over the official website of Epic.

What does the announcement say?
Epic announced that the delay is being caused due to the need to scale up for the host of new players, who will be joining the fight to save the world. Always meticulous about ensuring smooth gameplay experience, the studio is taking time to get things right, so both the new and old players can enjoy a smoother 'Save the World' mode.
A fix for the impatient itch
For gamers who cannot stand the delay and want to start playing immediately, Epic has some good news. From the following week, the developers will be rolling out 50% discount on the sale of the Standard, Super Deluxe, Deluxe, and Limited Founder's packs.
