#GamingBytes: Fortnite gets new assault rifle with update 6.22
Fortnite developer, Epic Games keeps the popularity of its Battle Royale going by adding new content through updates. It recently announced this week's update 6.22 and all the new items it would bring in-game, including weapons, a Limited Time Event, and brand new player skins. According to the official announcement, the downtime for server maintenance has ended and in-game changes are now available.
A whole new gun comes to Fortnite
Among the changes coming to the game is a new weapon that Epic is calling the Heavy Assault Rifle. It has described the gun as carrying 'a punch'. The weapon looks like a classic AK-47 Assault Rifle, which should have decent stopping power in the game if players can control the recoil, which this gun usually has. Notably, Epic hasn't announced this weapon's rarity.
Other changes coming to Fortnite
Apart from the new weapon, other changes coming to Fortnite includes a Limited Time Mode called Team Terror where two teams face each other and Cube Monsters. The 'Save the World' mode has Fortnitemares where players can fight with two new heroes and an all-new Candy Corn LMG weapon. Due to its partnership with NFL (National Football League) players will get NFL-themed outfits in-store.
