#GamingBytes: Fortnite's latest update brings 2 new items
On September 18, Epic launched, what is probably, the last update for Fortnite's Season 5. The update is titled 5.4.1 and introduces two new items, which players can use. Apart from that, the game introduces minor changes and fixes some bugs. Epic has to be lauded for the regular updates and keeping the popular game fine-tuned. Read about the latest update here.
Build a fortress wherever you go
Port-A-Fortress is the latest addition in Fortnite. It is an upgrade of Port-A-Fort. It will provide immediate cover to players, if they come under fire or can be used to camp and shoot enemies. Notably, it is more useful than the Port-A-Fort as it can fit a squad. However, due to its epic rarity, availability in-game might be, somewhat, of a concern.
Get a special playground for your squad
In this update, Epic has introduced the Spiky Stadium. It will be available in red supply drops in the 'Playground'. Once used, it will spawn a 7*11 sized stadium with damage traps and bouncers. Players can take their squads inside and let their creativity loose. While this definitely makes things interesting, it will not impact the gameplay. This is a limited time mode.
Jump to safety and shelter from storms
Now, the 'Soaring Solos' option, in the limited time mode, allows players to reuse the gliders. Jumping off high structures will let them redeploy gliders. If you accidentally make the jump, you don't have to fear falling down and losing health, just glide to safety. More importantly, the last few storm circles will no longer damage player structures.
Save the world with a whole new weapon
The 'Save The World' mode in Fortnite sees players face monsters in co-op modes. This update adds a new weapon to the players' arsenal. The Bowler Flintlock Launcher arrives, which can shoot cannon balls to damage and knock down waves of enemies.
