#GamingBytes: Fortnite disables Dynamite soon after introducing it, here's why!
Fortnite recently introduced the Dynamite with its 6.30 update, as we had reported. However, before its new content could generate interest among members of the fan favorite Battle Royale, the studio Epic disabled it in less than an hour. The official Twitter account of Fortnite sent the message out to players, apologizing for the inconvenience, stating server issues as the reason behind the removal.

The problem and the solution
Epic reported it was forced to disable the dynamite as it was increasing client crashes. Thankfully, the cause of the problem appears to be server related, rather than a glitch in the item. This spells good news to gamers who were anticipating using the explosive weapon in the Wild West Limited Time Mode. At the time of writing this, Dynamite has returned to Fortnite.
All about Fortnite's Dynamite
The Dynamite is an uncommon item and will be found in stacks of three from loot, chests, Supply Llamas, Supply Drops and Vending Machines. It has the ability to cause 800 damage to structures and 70 damage to players. It has a 5-second fuse which players cannot cancel once they throw it. The range is shorter than grenades, making it effective for close explosions.
Other changes Fortnite brought
Along with fixing the Dynamite, Epic made changes to its recently added Mounted Turret. Players will now take 1.5x more damage instead of 2x when headshot using this weapon. The cooling time, too, has been reduced from 10 to 6 seconds.
Bring on the explosions in Fortnite
Seeing the damage stats for Dynamite, it surprises us that it deals more damage to structures than players, although Epic purposely designed it in this manner to give players a fighting chance against dynamite users. However, lobbing dynamites at structures can be a brilliant way to ambush them, as a well-timed dynamite will knock out players giving you the chance to rush and kill.
