#GamingBytes: Now anybody can play Fortnite on Android
Fortnite has been available for Android devices for some time, but players were able to download the popular Battle Royale only if they had an invite. In the beta mode, the game was not freely available for all. However, as of today, the game has become accessible for all and can be downloaded and played on any Android device. Read all about it here.
How to download Fortnite for Android?
Notably, Fortnite developers, Epic Games, circumvented the usual route of making Fortnite available on the Google Play Store. Instead, the application is directly available for download on the official site. Though this lets Epic keep more profits, it has led to security risks. We recommend gamers use the official site, as spurious applications offering free V-Bucks and cheats have sprung up, targeting Fortnite players.
The best system requirements for smooth gameplay
Although Fortnite is now available across all Android devices, the smooth running of the game will require rather high-end device specifications. Epic's recommendations include a 64-bit, Android 8.0 or higher operating system, 4 gigabytes or higher RAM and Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or Adreno 530 graphics processing unit at the least. Android devices, that don't meet the recommended specs, can lower in-game settings.
Hop in for some Halloween fun
Android users can now hop in for some mobile Fortnite fun as the sixth season, Darkness Rises, continues with its spooky Halloween theme and exciting weapons and costumes. Just remember to optimize your device settings for smooth gameplay and go win that Victory Royale.
