Football: Where could Bale end up next?
Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale's future has been the talk of the town since the final of the UEFA Champions League where the Spanish giants beat Liverpool. Bale, who clinched the tie with two superb goals, had stated that he will hold talks with his agent and the club and take it from there on. So where could the Welshman end up next?
Bale to Spurs not happening
The former Tottenham Hotspur player will not be coming back to the Premier League club. Although Spurs have a £85 million buy-back clause, Bale's move looks unrealistic. The player is reportedly earning £400,000 a week after tax at Real and a salary in that region is something Spurs would not be keen to spend. Further, Spurs haven't won any trophies to attract Bale.
Move to United a possibility but there are doubts
Bale has a contract till 2022 and will only leave the Santiago Bernabeu if the club allows him. Manchester United have been one of the interested suitors for Bale. The Manchester-based club acquired Alexis Sanchez in January and Jose Mourinho had stated he is focusing to improve in other positions. United are rumoured to make a £200 million bid. But this deal seems unlikely.
Premier League stint blows up
Manchester City have a plethora of attacking players and Pep Guardiola has switched his attention to Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez. A move for Bale to City is not on the cards and so is the case with Chelsea. The FA Cup winners are in the middle of sorting out their managerial decision and it is unknown whether the Blues will go for the Welshman.
Scenarios outside England for Bale
Paris Saint-Germain can afford Bale, but like City and United they have a star-studded attack. Bale starting regularly at PSG is not an assured thing, which leaves him with options such as Bayern Munich and Juventus. Bayern can get Bale to sharpen their attack, given they are seeking a star signing. Mario Mandzukic of Juventus is on the move and that opens a place.
Our opinion on Bale
It is possible that Bale might just remain at Real Madrid and there could still be a solution. Bale could be fighting hard for a place in the side. If that doesn't happen that Bayern could be a possible destination for the player next season.
