The Indian skipper reached the 11,000-run mark faster than Sachin Tendulkar doing so in 261 innings.
As mentioned, Rohit managed it in the match against Bangladesh managing 41 runs.
Rohit touched the 11,000-run mark with his 12th run in the game. Overall, he now has 11,029 runs at 49.01, (32 centuries and 57 fifties).

The former Indian captain rounds out the top five of this list. Ganguly hit the 11,000-run mark in his 298th ODI (288 innings).
Ganguly managed this in a game against England, during India's tri-nation tour in 2007.
However, the batter's 72-run knock went in vain as India lost the match.
According to ESPNcrincinfo, Ganguly retired with 11,363 runs at 41.02 (100s: 22, 50s: 57).
