Sir Alex Ferguson encourages Manchester United's coaching staff at training
Former Manchester United manager, the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, was invited by current interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to United's training on Saturday. The former manager is believed to have spoken words of encouragement to Solskjaer and his staff. United are currently training for their Wednesday night match against Newcastle, who are currently coached by Rafa Benitez. Further details follow.
I keep Sir Alex informed at all times: Solskjaer
Solskjaer said that he always is in contact with Sir Alex and keeps him informed of the latest happenings at the club. When the legendary manager visited the training grounds, he had words of encouragement for the coaching staff at Manchester United, and Solskjaer says that the people who are currently working for him are also "Manchester United through and through".
Solskjaer feels at home when at Manchester United
Having been with the club for 15 years (10 years as a player and five as junior coach), Solskjaer said that he feels completely at home at Manchester United. He added that though he might be the interim manager, it is up to others to rate whether he is suited for managing United. Speaking about his job, Solskjaer said that he's enjoying every minute of it.
Solskjaer has bigger challenges coming up
Though he has been successful in making Manchester United play some quality football in the three matches he has been in charge, Solskjaer has faced low-ranking opponents like Huddersfield, Bournemouth, and Cardiff City. It will be in upcoming matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool that the quality of this Manchester United team under Solskjaer will be truly tested.
Solskjaer has spoken of Alexis Sanchez's return as well
Alexis Sanchez, who has been out for long with a major hamstring injury, will be returning to the United squad soon. The former Barcelona and Arsenal forward had earlier said that Mourinho's tactics were restricting his creativity. But Solskjaer believes the Chilean will now, "benefit from the interchanging, the rotation, the movement". Sanchez's involvement in United's attack will surely be a major boost.
