Roger Federer is continuing to defy the laws of time. The 36-year-old has successfully defended the Australian Open crown which he won by beating arch-nemesis Rafa Nadal in 2017. Federer wins marathon final
Competing at his 30th major final, Federer made light work of his opponent in the first set, clinching it 6-2. The second set was a contest in which Cilic prevailed 6-7. The greatest-player-of-all time, however, bounced back to claim the next set 6-3. Cilic was going to be no pushover and forced a 5th set after winning 3-6. Federer claimed the decider 6-1.
