Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic will face each other in the final of the Cincinnati Masters. Both players have won one Grand Slam each this year and it promises to be an enticing battle. Novak battles past Cilic to reach finale
Djokovic surged past Croatia's Marin Cilic in a three-set duel 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Djokovic leads the overall head-to-head battles against Federer with a 23-22 margin. But the Swiss maestro has beaten the Serb in three Cincinnati finals earlier. Novak stated that he is aware of the historic feat which he could achieve and the same motivates him even more.
Federer eyes history after Goffin retires in semis
Federer will be eyeing an eighth Cincinnati title when he faces Djoker in the final. The Swiss ace was leading 7-6, 1-1 before his opponent, David Goffin, retired due to an injury. This is his 150th career finale and that's a historic moment for the veteran player. He has won 98 finals out of 149. Federer is looking to push for his 99th honor.
