Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi was the pick of the bowlers for his side against South Africa in the first ODI at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on Wednesday. Farooqi claimed figures worth 4/35 from seven overs as Afghanistan bowled South Africa out for just 106 runs in 33.3 overs. As per Cricbuzz, for the first time Afghanistan have bowled out SA in a white-ball game.
Four quality scalps for Farooqi
Farroqi got the scalp of SA opener Reeza Hendricks in the final ball of the 3rd over. In the 5th over, Farooqi was on the money again, dismissing Aiden Markram. Both these dismissals were bowled. Tony de Zorzi tried to pull a short delivery wide outside off and was caught next in the 7th over. Wiaan Mulder (52) was his next scalp (33rd over).
