Run Machine Virat Kohli added another feather to his cap by completing 14,000 runs in ODI cricket.
He reached the landmark with his 15th run against Pakistan in India's second match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai.
Kohli became the fastest to 14,000 ODI runs in terms of matches, innings, and balls. Only two other batters have reached this landmark.

As per ESPNcricinfo, Kohli is not only the fastest to 14,000 ODI runs in terms of innings, he is also the quickest to this mark by balls taken.
Kohli took 14,984 balls to reach this landmark. None of the other two batters entered the 14,000-run club in less than 15,000 balls.
Kohli now has 14,085 ODI runs from 287 innings at 58.20.

In 2018, Kohli became the fourth Indian batter with 10,000 ODI runs. To date, he remains the fastest to this landmark (205 innings). Kohli's average on completing his 10,000th run was 59.62.
Interestingly, the Indian batter took just 11 innings to go from 9,000 to 10,000 runs in the format.
He is also the fastest to 11,000, 12,000, 13,000, and 14,000 ODI runs.

Sachin Tendulkar: 16,292 balls
In 2006, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar became the first batter to breach the 14,000-run mark in ODI cricket. He did so in his 359th match (350 innings).
Tendulkar took 16,292 balls for this milestone. It is important to note that he played in rather difficult conditions due to the now-scrapped single-ball rule in ODI cricket.
Tendulkar owns most ODI runs (18,426 in 463 matches).

Kumar Sangakkara: 17,789 balls
Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara remains the only other batter with 14,000-plus runs in ODI cricket.
Sangakkara unlocked this achievement in 2015. He remains the quickest to this mark in terms of years (14y 246d).
Tendulkar and Kohli got here in 16y 50d and 16y 189d respectively.
Sanga overall took 402 innings and 17,789 balls to complete 14,000 ODI runs.
