He also hammered the second-fastest century in the format (matches between Full Member sides).

Rohit Sharma: 35 balls
Rohit Sharma, the former T20I captain, still holds the record for smaking the fastest century for India in the format.
Rohit slammed a 35-ball ton against Sri Lanka in Indore in 2017. He hammered 12 fours and 10 maximums in his 43-ball 118.
Overall, Rohit owns the joint-fastest T20I ton with South Africa's David Miller (between Full Member sides).

Abhishek Sharma: 37 balls
Abhishek's 37-ball century against England in Mumbai is now the second-fastest for India in T20Is and the second-fastest overall.
He went past Johnson Charles, who slammed a 39-ball ton against South Africa in Centurion in 2023.
Abhishek also become the first Indian to score 130-plus runs in a T20I. He now owns the most sixes for India in a T20I (13).

Quickest T20I ton for a player (overs)
As per Cricbuzz, Abhishek is the quickest to reach a T20I ton in terms of overs (10.1). He surpassed South Africa's Quinton de Kock, who took 10.2 overs for his ton against the West Indies in Centurion in 2023.

In October last year, India created a new record by scoring the highest-ever team total in T20I cricket (matches between Full Members). The Indian team ended their 20 overs at a staggering 297/6.
Sanju Samson was the architect of India's record-breaking effort, scoring a blistering century with 111 runs off just 47 deliveries.
He hammered a 40-ball ton, the third-fastest for India in T20Is.
