The Orange Army chased down 166 in just 9.4 overs without losing a wicket. Openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma brought up SRH's 100 in only 34 balls. Head and Abhishek: 30 balls vs DC, 2024
Head and Abhishek have been making waves as a destructive opening pair in IPL 2024. Earlier this season, the duo added a record-breaking 131-run opening partnership against Delhi Capitals. SRH reached 100 in just 30 balls, the fastest such partnership in the cash-rich league. The Sunrisers scored a mammoth 266/7 before winning the match by 67 runs.
Head and Abhishek: 34 balls vs LSG, 2024
As mentioned, in the SRH-LSG encounter, Head and Abhishek reached the 100-run mark in just 34 balls. This is now the second-fastest 100-run partnership in the IPL. The duo came out all guns blazing and won the match inside 10 overs. Notably, the unbeaten 167-run stand between Abhishek and Head is SRH's third-highest for any wicket in the IPL.
Harbhajan and Suchith: 36 balls vs PBKS, 2015
Star off-spinner Harbhajan Singh starred for Mumbai Indians in the 2015 IPL encounter against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) at the Wankhede Stadium. He added a 100-run stand off just 36 balls alongside Jagadeesha Suchith after MI were down to 59/6 while chasing 178. However, Harbhajan couldn't rescue MI despite his 24-ball 64. They were restricted to 159/7.
Lynn and Narine: 36 balls vs RCB, 2017
Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine were on fire as Kolkata Knight Riders openers under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. The duo gave KKR some blistering starts, which led to their success. In the 2017 IPL encounter (away) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, with Lynn and Narine adding 105 runs in just six overs. KKR reached 100 in 36 balls before winning in 15.1 overs.
