India vs WI: Fans troll Rahul for his poor fielding
What's the story
KL Rahul is going through a rough patch.
His place in the Test team is being questioned by fans. In ODIs, he has warmed the bench.
And even after getting a rare outing in T20I, there was no respite for him.
Rahul was at the receiving end of the fans' wrath after a poor show, with bat as well as on-field, against West Indies.
Performance
Rahul had some poor moments on the field
India managed a victory in the first T20I against West Indies, but it wasn't a convincing win.
WI managed a paltry score of 109/8 with Kuldeep Yadav picking three wickets.
And on-field Rahul had some embarrassing moments.
One shocking fielding effort from him, on the field, caught the eye of the fans.
Luckily for Rahul, his throw still helped India affect a clear run-out.
Incident
How did the incident unfold?
Shai Hope tried to flick Khaleel Ahmed towards the leg-side, but he managed to hit the ball straight to Rahul at short mid-wicket.
A confusion on the pitch saw Hope and Shimron Hetmyer being stranded at one end.
Rahul had to just throw the ball simply to DK, but shockingly, he flipped it over his head.
But Manish Pandey came to the rescue.
Data
Rahul also failed with the bat
Unfortunately, Rahul also failed with the bat. He came in at number three and got off to a start, but couldn't capitalize on the same. He fell for a paltry score of 16 off 22 deliveries.

KL Rahul has been awful in the field today, first that pathetic throw which almost missed the chance of a run out and now this dropped high catch at the boundary. He needs to work on his fielding. #INDvWI
