Europa League, Sevilla beat West Ham: List of records broken
Sevilla earned a narrow 1-0 win over West Ham United in the Europa League round of 16 first leg tie in Seville. Munir El Haddadi scored the only goal for the six-time winners. West Ham tried to break down Sevilla but were thwarted by the Spanish side. Sevilla have been dominant at home this season and sealed a crucial victory.
How did the match pan out?
West Ham's Nikola Vlasic headed an early opportunity straight at Yassine Bounou, Michail Antonio missed his kick with the follow up from close range. Vlasic also saw his low driven effort get tipped around the post with Tomas Soucek also testing Sevilla's keeper. Manuel Manzini also saw his close-range effort blocked. Sevilla too had their chances as Munir's goal was the main difference.
