Ronaldo scores 700th career goal, Portugal lose
34-year-old Ronaldo scored a penalty as Portugal went on to lose against Ukraine. His 700 career goals so far have come from 973 matches. His goal against Ukraine was also his 95th for Portugal. He is now only behind Iranian Ali Daei in front in the international charts on 109 goals. Meanwhile, the victory for Ukraine means they have qualified for Euro 2020.

Ronaldo became the sixth player in the history of the game to register 700 career goals. According to data from Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation, Czech-Austrian Josef Bican leads the show with 805 strikes. The likes of Romario (772), Pele (767), Ferenc Puskas (746), Gerd Muller (735) are the others in this elite list. Out of Ronaldo's 700 goals, 450 have come for Real Madrid.
Chaotic racism scenes as England thrash Bulgaria 6-0
England's qualifying victory over Bulgaria in Sofia was overshadowed by shameful scenes of racism. The match was stopped twice and officials also threatened to abandon the game. On the pitch, England moved closer to Euro 2020 qualification after a dominant display. Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling scored a brace each. Whereas, Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford scored one goal each.
France held by Turkey in Group H
Olivier Giroud once again scored for France in their Euro 2020 Qualifiers. However, that wasn't enough as Turkey equalized within five minutes. Turkey remain above France at the top of Group H. This is due to their reverse fixture victory earlier. Meanwhile, Iceland's 2-0 win over Andorra meant that neither of France or Turkey could qualify. France dominated the game but couldn't maximize.
