Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Here are the key results
Spain and Italy grew closer to qualify for Euro 2020 after respective victories in the qualifiers. 2010 FIFA world champions Spain drubbed the Faroe Islands 4-0 in Group F. Whereas, Italy won 2-1 away against Finland. The likes of Sweden, Denmark and Greece played out draws, whereas, Switzerland won big. Here are the key results.
Spain maintain 100% record in Group F
Spain have played six games in Group F so far. Notably, they have scripted wins in all these games to stay atop on 18 points. They are seven clear of Sweden, who drew 1-1 against Norway. Valencia's Rodrigo scored twice for Spain before an in-form Paco Alacer added another two late on. Sergio Ramos won a record-equalling 167th cap to draw alongside Iker Casillas.

"We must grow as a team by winning all our matches. Of course, the final goal is a qualification, but what matters is that the team has the feeling of doing things well," said Spain coach Robert Moreno.
Italy register 2-1 win against Finland n Group J
For Italy, Chelsea mid-fielder Jorginho scored a winning penalty to secure victory against Finland in Group J. The Italians took the lead through Ciro Immobile's header in the 59th minute. Norwich City's in-form striker Teemu Pukki scored from the spot to equalize. But Jorginho's calmly taken spot-kick gave Italy all three points. Italy need four points from their remaining four games to qualify.

"But I knew the time would come. Tonight wasn't easy, but we did well. We are happy, we are starting again after the disappointment of missing out on the World Cup," said Italy striker Immobile.

Switzerland kept their hopes of qualifying from Group D alive after a 4-0 thumping of Gibraltar. Denis Zakaria, Admir Mehmedi, Ricardo Rodriguez and Mario Gavranovic scored the goals. Vladimir Petkovic's side is within three points of leaders Ireland. Meanwhile, second-placed Denmark managed a goalless draw at Georgia. Romania drew 1-1 against Malta to move up to third in Group F.
