Manchester United vs Leicester City: Preview, Dream11 and more
Manchester United have endured a difficult start in the 2019-20 Premier League season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side has collected just five points from four games. They haven't won in the last three and host a high-flying Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday. United cannot afford to drop points and need a win badly. Here we present the complete match preview.
Team news and selection
United are set to be without Paul Pogba. "Paul won't be fit unless he has had a miraculous recovery overnight," said Solskjaer. The club will also be without Anthony Martial, whereas, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jesse Lingard could also miss out. Leicester have a fit squad and majority of the players are all available. This is a huge boost for the side.
United have work to do against in-form Leicester
After a convincing 4-0 win against Chelsea in the opening game, United have collected just two points from the next three. They have conceded poor goals, missed penalties and failed to show consistency in attack. However, Leicester have been in strong form and United need serious work to do. They will be without key players as well and that's another worry.
Leicester hope to keep flying high
Leicester have collected eight points from four games so far. They are yet to lose a match after two wins and two draws. Jamie Vardy has been in superb form upfront and he will look to cause issues for the United defense. The likes of James Maddison has looked sharp and entertaining. Manager Brendan Rodgers will be confident in getting the job done.
What did the managers say?
"Leicester is always a tough game. There's a team, a club wanting to push into the top four I'm sure. They've got good players, a very good manager that's a proven top manager," said Solskjaer. "The nature of this squad is that they are very keen to improve and get better. We're really looking forward to this game against a top-class team," said Rodgers.
Dream11: Vardy leads a strong side on offer
We have gone in with David de Gea as the keeper of this Dream11 side. The three-man defense sees Harry Maguire, Marcos Rojo and Jonny Evans. In-form Daniel James (vice-captain) and Ayoze Perez are the wing-backs. The mid-field comprises of Scott McTominay, James Maddison and Ndidi. Jamie Vardy (captain) and Marcus Rashford are the two strikers upfront.
