EPL 2018-19: Here're all the records broken on match-day 12
The Premier League match-day 12 has given us some great moments and matches before the mid-month international break. While Everton put up a great performance as they drew against Chelsea, Manchester United succumbed under the sheer quality of Manchester City. Liverpool won their match against Fulham with stunning goals from Salah and Shaqiri. Here're all the records broken.
Liverpool won 2-0 against Fulham at Anfield
Liverpool are now second in the Premier League table with 30 points from 12 matches, making this campaign their joint-best start to the season since 2002-03. In the EPL history, Fulham have now conceded the second-most number of goals in the first 12 matches (31), only behind Barnsley in 1997-98 (35). Under Klopp, Liverpool have managed to win all the home-matches against promoted teams.
Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Everton
In their entire history in the Premier League, this is only the second time after 2014-15 that Chelsea have managed to remain unbeaten in the Premier League after 12 matches. The head-to-head ties between Chelsea and Everton have seen eight goalless draws in total, only outdone by Everton vs Liverpool matches, which have seen nine. Chelsea have 21 clean sheets against Everton, their joint-highest.
Manchester City defeat United 3-1, are unparalleled this season
Manchester City have been the most dominating side this term, having conceded five goals so far. The match was Jose Mourinho's 300th Premier League match as manager. Aguero's goal tonight has made him the joint-highest scorer in Manchester derbies along with Wayne Rooney. Mata is the fifth French player to score in five consecutive EPL matches, others being Henry, Anelka, Giroud, and Cantona.
Arsenal drew 1-1 against Wolverhampton
Wolves had started out the campaign well, with four wins from six matches, but have failed to keep up the form, going without a single win in their last four Premier League matches. Arsenal have not managed to take the lead before half-time in any league match this term. This was the first EPL match between these two sides where Wolves led against Arsenal.
