Premier League 2019-20: The key numbers from gameweek 26
The Premier League winter break is on and we have had six games so far in gameweek 26. Three matches were played last week and another three games were played this weekend. Four matches are still left. On Saturday, Liverpool extended their unbeaten run after beating Norwich 1-0. Meanwhile, Burnley overcame Southampton 2-1. Here are the key numbers.
Liverpool unbeaten in 43 EPL games, Mane and Henderson shine
Liverpool are now unbeaten in 43 Premier League matches. The Reds have kept a clean sheet in 10 of their past 11 Premier League matches. Sadio Mane registered the 100th goal of his English club career across competitions (Southampton 25, Liverpool 75). It was also his 57th in the Premier League for Liverpool. Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has assisted five EPL goals this season.
Burnley script PL history, Southampton's home woes continue
Burnley completed the league double over Southampton for the first time in Premier League history. The Clarets are also unbeaten in their past seven EPL meetings with Southampton. Meanwhile, the Saints have won just 11 points at home in the EPL this season. They have also conceded 30 goals in their 13 home league games in the 2019-20 season.
Norwich script unwanted records
Bottom-placed Norwich City failed to attempt a single shot in the first half of a league game for the first time under manager Daniel Farke. The Canaries have only won one of their past 13 EPL games (D5, L7).
