England overcome India in 2nd T20I: Know what happened
Morgan's England claimed a victory in the 2nd T20I to level the series at 1-1. Alex Hales scored an unbeaten 58 runs to propel his side to a five-wicket win on Friday. In pursuit of 149, England were reeling at 44/3, before Hales made sure he stayed till the end and got his side home. England chased the target with 2 balls to spare.
England counter Kuldeep Yadav superbly
After seeing the left-arm wrist spinner wreck havoc in the 1st T20I, the Englishmen stood tall to counter Kuldeep's wizardry. Kuldeep Yadav wasn't able to dictate terms in this match as he ended wicket-less and gave away 34 runs in his 4-over spell. Even Yuzvendra Chahal accounted for just one wicket and England overcame India's spinners superbly in this match.
Hales stands tall in 2nd T20I
Alex Hales played a solid innings against India in the 2nd T20I. He scored an unbeaten 58 off 41 balls and played a crucial final over when his side needed 12. He smashed a six and a four off the first two deliveries of the final over of the match and got his side home. Hales hit four fours and three sixes.
England bowlers bowl well to hurt India
England were fantastic with the ball and did not allow India the space in the power-play. India lost three wickets inside 5 overs and the score was just 22. England bowlers stuck to basics and that forced the top order to play expensive shots and get out. David Willey (1/18) and Liam Plunkett (1/17) were outstanding on the day.
Kohli, MS do the build-up work
The Indian middle-order guided by Virat Kohli led the recovery charge and got the side to 148. Kohli took his time before slamming a well knitted 38-ball 47. He was well supported by Suresh Raina (27) as the duo stitched a 57-run stand. MS Dhoni (32*) played a crucial innings, towards the end, to help India post a par-target.
