England using bowling simulator to counter spin-wizard Kuldeep Yadav
Mystery spinner Kuldeep Yadav's rise as a bowler has been meteoric. His bowling prowess was on display, once again, as he tore apart England batting line-up in the first T20I. In order to counter his 'wizardry', Englishmen are now using a bowling machine which simulates the bowler. The bowling machine will help the English batsmen accustom themselves to his trickery and variations.
Kuldeep was England's tormentor in chief
Kuldeep claimed a 5-wicket haul against England in the first T20I at Old Trafford. He ripped apart the much-hyped English batting line up. He claimed the important wickets of Eoin Morgan, Johnny Bairstow and Joe Root as England were left baffled by the youngster's googlies. Kuldeep is now turning out to be Kohli's go-to man in ODIs and T20Is.
Merlyn couldn't help England against Warne
The bowling machine named 'Merlyn' was introduced back in 2005 and can bowl any kind of spin delivery. England had used it to train against the greatest leg-spinner of all time, Shane Warne. However, it didn't help them much, as Warne still picked up 40 wickets in the 5-match Test series. England are now turning back to the device for help against Kuldeep.
Can Merlyn help combat Kuldeep's sorcery?
"One thing we can do is with Merlyn, to replicate the angle. It was the first time some guys have faced Kuldeep and it may take one or two games, plus video. You have to get used to the action." Jos Buttler said.
Kuldeep Yadav is a class act
Kuldeep Yadav has been India's most successful bowler in recent times. He tormented Australia at home and in South Africa, as well, he caused plenty of problems. England tracks don't aid spin that much, but Kohli believes Kuldeep can be effective on any pitch in the world. Will the Englishmen minimize the damage with the help of this machine? Let's wait and watch.
