England beat Australia in T20I: Here're are the records broken
After thrashing Australia 5-0 in ODIs, England overpowered the visitors in the one-off T20I game as well. England posted a monumental score of 221/5, before bowling out Australia for 193 with two balls to spare. Apart from Aaron Finch (84), no Aussie batsmen rose up the challenge as the hosts romped to a 28-run victory. Here are the records broken.
Buttler heroics floors Australia
Jos Buttler (61) is the man-in-form for England and credit to the management for letting him open the innings. The IPL 2018 hero made the use of his touch to floor the Aussies. He notched the fastest individual fifty for England in T20Is off just 22 deliveries. Since May 2018, Buttler has amassed 925 runs across IPL, Tests, ODIs and T20I.
Finch plays lone knock for Australia
Aaron Finch scored a defiant 84 off just 41 balls as he continued his march against England. This was his third career fifty against England and his 8th overall in T20Is. Finch hit seven fours and six sixes to pose a challenge, but the rest of the Australian batsmen were bundled for 103 runs. This T20I, once again, highlighted the issues Aussies are facing.
Adil Rashid sweeps off Australia
India will need to be wary of England spinner Adil Rashid, who was on top of his game against Australia. Rashid picked up three wickets for just 27 runs. He was helped by Chris Jordan (3/42) and Liam Plunkett (2/34). This was the spinner's 26th career wicket in 29 T20Is. Notably, he clinched the wicket of Aaron Finch.
