India D skipper Shreyas Iyer smashed a breezy 54-run knock in his side's second innings against India C in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 at Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur. Iyer, who fell for just nine runs in the first innings, faced 44 balls for his 54 in the 2nd innings. He struck at 122.72. India D were 93/3 when Iyer departed. Here's more.

Iyer will however be upset for throwing his wicket away and not converting the fine start into a ton. Iyer walked in when India D were 13/1. He shared a 53-run stand alongside Devdutt Padikkal for the 3rd wicket after his side was reduced to 43/2. He slammed nine fours and a six in his knock before being dismissed by Anshul Kamboj.
