Duleep Trophy: Shashwat Rawat slams fifty for India A
India A are on top against India D in the ongoing round 2 of the Duleep Trophy 2024 at Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur. While centuries from Pratham Singh and Tilak Varma headlined the play on Day 3, young batter Shashwat Rawat made his presence felt with an unbeaten 64. This was his fifth First-Class fifty. India A were comfortably placed at 264/3 when Rawat joined Tilak in the middle. The duo tormented the opposition bowlers and stitched an unbeaten 116-run stand. Rawat opened up his arms after being watchful early on. Their brilliance meant India A declared at 380/3, setting India D a mammoth target of 488 runs.
Fifth FC fifty for Shashwat Rawat
Rawat impressed one and all enroute to an unbeaten 64 from 88 balls. He hit seven fours. Rawat, who scored 15 runs in the 1st innings, has raced to 1,274 First-Class runs at an average of close to 50. This was his fifth fifty as he also owns five centuries in this format. His highest FC score reads 207.

India A managed 290 runs in their first innings. Shams Mulani made the difference with a score of 89. Tanush Kotian scored a fifty as well. For India D, Harshit Rana took a four-fer.
