Duleep Trophy: Devdutt Padikkal slams half-century after Test team snub
Devdutt Padikkal sent the selectors a reminder after being snubbed for the first Test against Bangladesh, starting September 19 in Chennai. Padikkal, who made one Test appearance for India against England, had scored a fine fifty in that match. However, he didn't find a place in India's squad announced for the first match. Padikkal knows he needs to just score runs and remain positive.
Padikkal slams 92 for India D
The southpaw has hit a 92-run knock for India D against India A in the 2024 Duleep Trophy match at Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur. Padikkal was the only saving grace for his side. He faced 124 balls for his 92. His knock had 15 fours. India D were folded for 183 in 52.1 overs after India A managed 290 in their 1st innings.

In round 1 of the Duleep Trophy, Padikkal got scores worth 0 and 56 against India C. However, his 56-run knock wasn't sufficient as India D suffered a telling defeat. And now, he has hit successive fifties with this 92-run effort.
