As per reports, Star seeking "a discount of over $100 million" from the 2024 T20 World Cup. The broadcaster cites several reasons for this request, including the washout of the high-profile India-Canada match in Florida on June 15. Star raises concerns over low-scoring T20 World Cup games
Star has expressed dissatisfaction with certain low-scoring games, specifically the semi-final between Afghanistan and South Africa on June 26 at Tarouba. Notably, Afghanistan perished just 56 runs in 11.5 overs, leading to a low-octane match. The broadcaster also highlighted the high-profile India-Pakistan match's low scoring nature as a concern.
