Dhoni wins doubles final in straight sets
MS left the crowd mesmerized after showing his skills with the tennis racquet. He was seen in action at the JSCA Country Cricket Club Tennis Championship in Ranchi. Dhoni took part in the men's doubles category. He partnered with a local tennis player and won in straight sets to bag the trophy. Notably, MSD and his partner won the final 6-3, 6-3.
Dhoni's T20I career could come to an end
Dhoni was dropped from the T20I squad after a host of unconvincing performances in England and then against the West Indies. Rishabh Pant replaced the veteran ace in the T20I squad for the series against West Indies and Australia, last month. It looks like his T20I career could come to an end soon, as the Indian selectors want to groom other wicket-keepers for T20Is.
Dhoni will start preparing for upcoming ODI assignments
Dhoni is expected to play a big part for India in the ICC World Cup 2019. The legend will be looking forward to start training for the ODI series against Australia in January. India play three ODIs against Australia and then they will be up against New Zealand in a five-match affair. Undoubtedly, MS is still an integral part of this ODI team.
Fleming backs MSD to be part of World Cup squad
Chennai Super Kings coach, Stephen Fleming told Gulf News, that he hopes to see Dhoni in India's World Cup squad in England. "I think India have enough options within their squad to include Dhoni because his strength is immeasurable. He needs to have the confidence to go and play in ODIs and I think the big stage is something he is looking forward to."
Fleming thinks MS can perform at the highest level
"I know he has targeted World Cup and the opportunity if he gets there he should. It's funny isn't it for a guy who has played so much that he still needs confidence and no fear? That is what Dhoni likes," said the Kiwi.
