Watch: MS Dhoni's gets 'unlucky' with no-look throw
MS Dhoni has been a revelation behind the stumps for both the national team and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. It is a rare sight to see Dhoni miss a chance. From catches, stumpings and run-outs, MSD is one of a kind. He has the gift of hitting the stumps with no-look throws as well. But this time he got unlucky.
How MSD got unlucky in the match against KXIP?
In the match against Kings XI Punjab on Saturday, Dhoni failed to dismiss KL Rahul, despite te ball hitting the stumps. In the 13th over of KXIP's innings, MSD was quick off his blocks and hit the stumps with a no-look throw. But the bails didn't dislodge. Rahul survived despite being well short of his crease. Dhoni reacted with a grin on his face.

CSK beat KXIP despite unlucky run-out miss
The missed run-out didn't have any consequence on the match though. CSK ended up winning the tie by 22 runs. Kl Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan slammed fifties, but they slowed things down to surrender the tie. Dhoni needs to be credited for using his bowlers well. The three spinners in particular did a good job. They gave away just 61 runs from 12 overs.
Dhoni has been contributing well for CSK
Dhoni has been producing the goods in IPL 2019. Against KXIP, it was his unbeaten 23-ball 37 that helped CSK get to 160. Prior to this innings, he had also amassed a match-winning knock of 75* against Rajasthan Royals. The unbeaten 32-run innings against Delhi helped CSK chase down the target at the Kotla. Dhoni's contributions are of utmost significance for the defending champions.
