#GamingBytes: Devil May Cry 5 footage shows high-action gameplay
Capcom showed footage of Devil May Cry 5 at Gamescom and also fixed a release date of March 9, 2018. The new game will be a sequel to the 2008 Devil May Cry 4. There will be three playable characters: Nero, Dante and another unknown character. The gameplay looks brilliant and it promises a thrilling experience for players who love fight sequences.
What is Devil May Cry about?
Devil May Cry is mainly about Dante and his crew that hack and slash against the demonic forces in the world. It is a third-person action game. After Devil May Cry 4, the game went into a hiatus until 2013 DMC: Devil May Cry.
Praise be to Nero's arms
The footage Capcom showed had the gameplay of two characters. Nero has much faster movement and has his old Red Queen sword and Blue Rose handgun. However, the 'Devil Breakers' caught our eye. The game has eight mechanical arms designed by Nero's ally Nico. They grant him special demon slaying powers. Combined with agility and the breakers, Nero will be fun to play with.
The Devil Breakers pack a serious punch
As of now, we know about three kinds of Breakers. The Overture is an electrified arm to shock enemies, whereas, the Gerbera emits a powerful shock wave. Finally, there are the arms, which have grappling hooks.
The favorite protagonist returns
Nero's gameplay was cool but nothing compared to favorite protagonist Dante's entry. Dante started fighting demons to avenge his mother's death at the beginning of the franchise. This game sees him return on a cool motorcycle. The motorcycle splits into two chainsaw-like melee weapons. However, considering the size of the weapons, Dante will most likely have lesser agility than Nero, when wielding two chainsaws.
