Paris Saint-Germain sign Desire Doue from Rennes: Decoding his stats
Paris Saint-Germain have signed 19-year-old versatile midfielder Desire Doue from Rennes on a five-year deal. Doue, who had been at Rennes since the age of five, signed a contract with PSG until 2029. As per Fabrizio Romano, Doue comes in a package worth over €50m. Doue was part of the French team which won a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics this month.

Coming through the Rennes academy, Doue made his first-team debut in the 2022-23 season. He made 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and making one assist. In the 2023-24 season, Doue made 36 appearances, scoring four times. In Ligue 1 across two seasons, Doue owns 57 appearances, scoring 7 times and registering five assists.
