The pacer conceded five runs. Russell shares this feat with Indian leg-spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Amit Mishra.
Fastest fifer in IPL
Russell took just 12 balls to claim his only IPL fifer, against Mumbai Indians in 2021. He hence holds the record for scripting the quickest five-wicket haul in the history of the competition. Russell was sensational in death overs as he dismissed Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Marco Jansen, Rahul Chahar, and Jasprit Bumrah. He finished with 5/12 in just two overs.
