Though South Africa are yet to lift the T20 WC trophy, their former captain AB de Villiers was sensational in the tournament.
As per ESPNcricinfo, the Proteas dasher hammered 717 runs in 30 WC games at a strike rate of 143.40.
His average is also a decent 29.87. The tally includes five half-centuries with 79* being his best score.

Jos Buttler, who was pivotal to England's title triumph in 2022, has so far smoked 799 runs across 27 T20 WC games at a brilliant strike rate of 144.48.
The England skipper has also been consistent in the competition as he averages 42.05.
He has four fifties besides a ton.
His tally of 33 T20 WC sixes is the joint-third-most for any batter.

Kevin Pietersen - 148.33
In Kevin Pietersen, we have another England star on this list.
He was instrumental to his team's triumph in the 2010 T20 WC.
In 15 appearances in the competition, he hammered 580 runs at a strike rate of 148.33 (50s: 4).
His average of 44.61 is the highest among batters with 130-plus strike rates (Minimum: 500 T20 WC runs).

This elite list is topped by none other than Shahid Afridi.
The talismanic all-rounder played a crucial role in guiding Pakistan to the title in 2010.
Coming to his numbers, he smoked 546 runs across 34 T20 WC matches at a tremendous strike rate of 154.23.
He boasts a couple of fifties in the tournament as he averages 18.82.
