Presenting Australians with multiple centuries in men's T20Is
Australia's wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis hammered a brilliant century in the 2nd T20I versus Scotland at Grange Cricket Club, Edinburgh. Inglis powered his way with a score of 103 from 49 balls. His knock consisted of seven fours and seven sixes. This was his second T20I century. Here we look at the Australian batters with multiple centuries in T20I cricket.
Glenn Maxwell - 5
Glenn Maxwell holds the record of smashing the joint-most T20I hundreds (5). His maiden ton was a magnificent 65-ball 145* against SL in 2016. Two years later, he made 103* off 58 balls against England and followed it up with a 55-ball 113* against India (2019). Maxwell made a 48-ball 104* against India (2023). His latest ton (120* off 55) came against WI (2024).
Aaron Finch - 2
Former Australian skipper Aaron Finch touched the three-figure mark twice in T20Is, and on both occasions, he crossed the 150-run mark. The ex-opener owns the highest individual T20I score, having scored a 76-ball 172 against Zimbabwe in 2018. He also scored 156 off 63 balls against England in 2013. Hence, two of the three individual 150-plus T20I scores belong to Finch.
Josh Inglis - 2
Inglis is the latest addition to this list thanks to his heroics in Edinburgh. Inglis came to bat when his side was 11/1. He went on to smoke the fastest T20I ton by an Australian (43 balls) before being dismissed for 103(49). Last year, he smashed a 47-ball century against India in the Visakhapatnam T20I. He ended up scoring a valuable 50-ball 110.
