The Vidarbha cricket team won its third Ranji Trophy title after a drawn match against Kerala in the 2024/25 final.
The high-scoring match, played at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur, ended on the fifth day.

Harsh Dubey's record-breaking season
Vidarbha's left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey was named the highest wicket-taker.
He surpassed Bihar's Ashutosh Aman's record for most wickets in a single season by a wicket, taking an incredible 69 wickets in 10 matches.
He took 3 four-fers and 7 five-wicket hauls, averaging 16.98.
Apart from his bowling prowess, Dubey also scored 476 runs at 28 with five fifties. Dubey's all-round heroics earned him the Player of the Tournament award.

Other top wicket-takers
No other bowler could even manage 45 wickets in the season as Jammu and Kashmir's Aaqib Nabi was the second-highest wicket-taker with 44 wickets.
He was tied with Mumbai's left-arm spinner Shams Mulani.
Veteran off-spinner Jalaj Saxena of Kerala and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja of Saurashtra completed the top five with 40 wickets each.
Meanwhile, Nabi's average (13.93) was the best among bowlers with at least 35 wickets. He also took the second-most fifers (6).
Rathod
Yash Rathod shines as top scorer
Vidarbha's Yash Rathod was the highest run-scorer of the season.
The middle-order batter scored a phenomenal 960 runs at an impressive average of 53.33 in 10 matches.
While his tally of five tons is the most for any batter this season, Rathod also scored three fifties.
He is tied with teammate Danish Malewar and Uttarakhand's Ravikumar Samarth in terms of batters with the most 50-plus scores (8) in the tournament.

Three Vidarbha batters make it to top 5
Rathod was well supported by his teammates Karun Nair and Danish Malewar.
They occupy the fourth and fifth spot respectively on the list of top run-scorers for the season.
While Nair scored a total of 863, Malewar managed 783 runs.
MP captain Shubham Sharma took the second spot with 943 runs. His phenomenal average of 104.77 was the best among batters with at least 300 runs.
Hyderabad's Tanmay Agarwal finished third with a stunning tally of 934 runs at 77.83.

A look back at the other key records
Rajasthan's Mahipal Lomror was the only triple-centurion this season, scoring 300* vs Uttarakhand.
While Uttarakhand's Yuvraj Chaudhary smoked the most sixes (21), Chandigarh's Raj Bawa, his teammate Shivam Bhambri, and J & K's Abdul Samad recorded 20 maximums apiece.
Andhra Pradesh's KS Bharat recorded the most dismissals as a keeper (32). Vidarbha's Atharva Taide (19) took the most catches as a fielder.

Ten wickets in an innings for Kamboj
Haryana's Anshul Kamboj scripted history by picking all 10 wickets in an innings (10/49) during the match against Kerala in Rohtak.
Kamboj became just the third bowler in Ranji Trophy history to take all the wickets in an innings.
Gujarat's Siddharth Desai (9/36 vs Uttarakhand) was the only other bowler to claim at least nine wickets in an innings this season.
Team
Highest score and biggest win
Tamil Nadu's 674/6d vs hosts Delhi was the highest team score this season. There were eight more scores of 600-plus.
While Maharashtra recorded a 439-run win over Baroda, no other team even scripted a win by a margin of even 300 runs.
Services openers Suraj Vashisht and Shubham Rohilla made history with an unbroken 376-run partnership versus Odisha.
This is the highest partnership this season.
