Harbhajan Singh: 15/217 vs Australia, 2001
Former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was a standout performer in India's historic Test series win over Australia in 2001. India, led by Sourav Ganguly, lost the series opener before winning in Kolkata, where they defied a follow-on. The hosts finally defeated Australia in Chennai to claim one of Test greatest Test series wins. Harbhajan took a record 15 wickets in that match (15/217).
Anil Kumble: 13/181 vs Australia, 2004
Three years later, the legendary Anil Kumble claimed similar match figures against the same opposition (Australia) in Chennai. Kumble took a fifer in both the innings, albeit in a drawn match. He took seven wickets in the first innings, with Australia perishing for 235. The former leg-spinner scalped a six-wicket haul in the second innings (6/133).

India claimed a famous win against England in Chennai in 1952. Veteran all-rounder, Vinoo Mankad, who also bowled spin, paved the way for India with 12 wickets. He took a historic eight-wicket haul in the first innings as England managed 266. India declared for 457/9 in the second innings before bowling the visitors out for 183. Mankad took four wickets.
