However, a few Bangladesh batters have been able to make waves with their skills, scoring centuries against India. India are set to host Bangladesh for a two-Test series, starting September 19. Mohammad Ashraful, a former middle-order batter for Bangladesh, managed 158* off 194 balls during the hosts' first innings of the second Test in Chattogram, 2004. Ashraful's knock included 24 boundaries and three sixes, at a strike rate of 81.44. His knock propelled Bangladesh to a total of 333. Ashraful has managed 386 runs at an average of 42.88 in six matches against India.
Tamim Iqbal (151 off 183), Mirpur 2010
Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal smashed a brilliant 151 off 183 balls in the second innings of the second Test held in Mirpur, 2010. His knock included 18 fours and three maximums. His knock helped the hosts post 312 runs. However, India won the contest by 10 wickets. Tamim has scored 296 runs in four matches at an average of 42.98 against India.
Aminul Islam (145 off 380), Dhaka 2000
Aminul Islam smashed a solid 145 off 380 balls in the first innings of the only Test in Dhaka back in 2000. Aminul's knock included 17 boundaries. The hosts managed to post 400 runs in the first innings but lost the match. Former Bangladesh batter Aminul has managed 151 runs in two innings (one match) against India at an average of 75.50.
Mushfiqur Rahim (101 off 114), Chattogram 2010
Mushfiqur Rahim scored a brilliant 101 off 114 balls during the second innings of the first Test in Chattogram. Rahim's knock included 17 boundaries and one six. The hosts were folded for 301 while chasing a target of 415 runs, courtesy of Amit Mishra's 4/92. Rahim has scored a total of 604 runs in eight outings at 43.14 against India in Tests.
