DD Sports to air highlights of India's cricket matches
Sports fans, across the nation, will relive the golden era of Indian cricket as DD Sports is set to broadcast Men In Blue's memorable matches from the 2000s, amid the lockdown. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made the announcement on Twitter. The telecast will commence on April 7 with the tri-series of 2003 involving India, Australia and New Zealand.
Details of the highlights package
The highlights package includes the 2003 tri-series, South Africa's tour of India 2000 (four ODIs), Australia's tour of India 2001 (1st and 3rd ODI), West Indies' tour of India 2002 (1st, 4th and 5th ODI), Australia's tour of India 2001 (Kolkata Test). The complete match between India and Sri Lanka (third ODI, 2005) will be aired on April 14.

Star Sports is broadcasting the Indo-Pak World Cup games
India's leading sports broadcaster Star Sports also gave the fans a dose of nostalgia by telecasting the highlights of epic World Cup encounters between India and Pakistan. The screening which started on Saturday will end with India's 2019 World Cup win over Pakistan, on Friday. The matches are being shown on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 Hindi.
DD Sports to broadcast the matches every day
The highlights will run between 10 AM to 6 PM every day from April 7 to 14. While every match will be telecast as highlights, the third ODI between India and Sri Lanka will be a repeat. "The 2000s cricket rewind film. The BCCI and Government of India bring you cricket highlights from the past," read a tweet from BCCI.
IPL 2020 faces suspension scare
The upcoming edition of IPL is on the cusp of cancelation in the wake of coronavirus outburst. Earlier, the BCCI suspended the cash-rich league till April 15 after the government imposed stern travel restrictions. According to a source, the cricket board is planning to stage the tournament during October-November window. However, the T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin from October 18.
