Warner's retirement and potential return to international cricket
Warner recently retired from T20Is and Tests, with his last international appearance being in the T20 World Cup 2024. Despite Australia's early exit from the tournament, Warner has had an illustrious career with 8,786 Test runs, 6,932 ODI runs, and 3,277 T20I runs under his belt. On July 9 via Instagram post announcing his retirement from international cricket but hinted at a possible return for the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

As mentioned, Warner bid adieu to international cricket after featuring in the 2024 T20 World Cup. He had earlier retired from ODIs and Tests. Warner has won an ICC trophy with Australia in each of the three formats - 2021 T20 World Cup, 2023 World Test Championship final, 2023 ODI World Cup. The Australian opener retired with a total of 18,995 international runs. He continues to play franchise cricket around the world.
