CSK's Daryl Mitchell slams his maiden IPL half-century: Key stats
Daryl Mitchell finally got going this season with a timely knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 46 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season on Sunday. Mitchell, who was CSK's marquee signing at the 2024 IPL auction, slammed a 32-ball 52. He shared a solid 107-run stand alongside CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. CSK managed 212/3 in 20 overs at Chepauk.
A solid knock from Mitchell's blade
CSK lost Ajinkya Rahane early on as Mitchell joined Gaikwad in the middle. Mitchell came in and spanked two fours in a rather slow start. However, he opened up, hitting SRH skipper Pat Cummins for a six in the ninth over. Thereafter, he hit regular boundaries and got to his fifty from 29 balls. Jaydev Unadkat dismissed Mitchell shortly after his half-century.
