Super excited to play in Pakistan Super League: Dale Steyn
Proteas fast bowler Dale Steyn confirmed his participation in the upcoming edition of Pakistan Super League. He will be featuring for the two-time champions Islamabad United for the T20 league which will be held from February 20 to March 22. They 36-year-old is presently playing in the South Africa's T20I series against England. Here's more.

There have been speculations over the extent of his inclusion in the PSL taking into consideration South Africa's limited overs assignments. They are yet play an ODI and T20I series against Australia and India respectively during March. Steyn became South Africa's leading wicket-taker in T20Is as he dismissed Jos Buttler in the series opener against England. He surpassed Imran Tahir's tally of 61.
Steyn retired from Test cricket last year
A rough period of injuries stalled Steyn's career across formats post World Cup 2019. He was left out of South Africa's T20I squad that toured India in 2019, even after declaring himself fit. Steyn ended up as the third-highest wicket-taker in MSL 2019 and also featured in the Big Bash League recently. He was also bought by RCB in the IPL 2020 auction.
Key details about the PSL 2020 season
The fifth edition of PSL taking place in Pakistan, unlike the previous seasons where UAE were the co-hosts. Defending champions Quetta Gladiators will take on Islamabad United in the tournament opener on February 20. Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan will host the month-long competition. Shane Watson, Kieron Pollard and Jason Roy are the other marquee players to participate alongside Steyn.
