#GamingBytes: NetEase introduces new Cyber Hunter Battle Royale to mobiles
The Battle Royale genre is enjoying immense popularity amongst the gaming community. However, with the entrance of triple-A games like Call of Duty's Blackout, or Battlefield's Firestorm, the PC and console market is quickly getting saturated. The mobile gaming is still vast and China's NetEase is looking to capitalize on this by introducing its new Battle Royale title, Cyber Hunter.
A little about Cyber Hunter
Cyber Hunter was first announced as 'Project: Battle' by NetEase in May 2018. Due to the rising trend of Battle Royale games, NetEase had tried several new ideas in this genre, that were revealed back in February 2018. However, after months of alpha testing, the game's name was changed and now it is finally available in the beta stage on iOS and Android.
Meet the developers NetEase
NetEase Inc. is China's leading internet technology company. It has a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment and Microsoft's subsidiary, Mojang AB to manage some of the most popular international games in China. Apart from that, NetEase also provides e-mail and advertising services.
All about the gameplay features
Though Cyber Hunter follows survival of the fittest format of Battle Royales, it has certain distinctive differences. Notably, it includes a building option like Fortnite. The uniqueness of the game comes in where players land using a jet-fueled hovercraft, and in the cool weapons including microwave guns. Both the inclusion of weaponized vehicles and allowing players to climb any surface make the gameplay exciting.
