Warner (166 versus Bangladesh) has scripted the highest score in CWC 19. He went past Jason Roy and Aaron Finch's score of 153 each. The senior cricketer became the first batsman to surpass the 400-run mark in CWC 19 (447). He joined Finch in becoming the second Aussie to score 150-plus in the ongoing World Cup.
Warner surpasses 2015 CWC mark, equals Hayden
Warner is now the eighth highest run-scorer for Australia in the Cricket World Cup. He overcame Steve Smith (699). The left-handed batsman equalled Matthew Hayden's tally of three centuries in the World Cup. Warner had scored 345 runs in 2015 World Cup in eight matches. He has already surpassed that figure in just his sixth game in CWC 19.
