Eoin Morgan first English cricketer to play 200 ODIs
England's ODI cricket team skipper Eoin Morgan scripted a record in the opening encounter of the ICC World Cup 2019 on Thursday. The experienced southpaw became the first English cricketer to appear in 200 ODI matches. England are in action against South Africa at the Oval in the 2019 World Cup. Morgan had earlier surpassed Paul Collingwood (197) in terms of playing the most ODIs for England. He achieved the same in the series against Pakistan earlier this month. To have reached the 200-mark milestone is quite an achievement for Morgan, who received a cap from former skipper Andrew Strauss. Morgan will be looking to guide England to their maiden World Cup win.
