Gayle becomes third West Indian to surpass 1000-run mark
Chris Gayle (21) became the third West Indian to surpass the 1,000-run mark in the World Cup. He now has 1,015 runs from 28 matches. The 39-year-old surpassed former WI legend Viv Richards in terms of World Cup runs (1,013). He also became the 18th player to score 1,000-plus runs in the World Cup.
Coulter-Nile achieves these records after a blistering 92
Nathan Coulter-Nile came in and did the unthinkable at number eight. The Aussie pacer scored a stroke-filled 92 from just 60 balls. He smashed eight fours and four sixes. He now has the highest score registered by a number eight in the World Cup and the second best in ODI cricket. He also scored his maiden fifty in ODIs.

Smith notches a host of feats
Steve Smith scored his 20th career ODI fifty. The star cricketer also amassed his fifth fifty in the World Cup. Smith went past 500 runs for Australia in CWC (546). He went past former Australian batsman Michael Bevan in terms of World Cup runs (537). Smith shared a 102-run stand with Coulter-Nile. The partnership is now Australia's highest for seventh wicket in World Cup.
Some notable individual feats achieved during the match
Shai Hope scored his 11th career ODI fifty and his first in the World Cup. Oshane Thomas (2/63) now has six wickets in CWC 19. He has the second highest wickets after Matt Henry (7). Pat Cummins now has the joint-second highest wickets in 2019 alongside Adam Zampa (22). Jason Holder amassed his ninth career ODI fifty and a third in World Cup.
Starc quickest to 150 ODI wickets
Mitchell Starc became the quickest to 150 ODI wickets. He achieved the feat in his 77th ODI. He became the 10th Aussie bowler to achieve the feat. He picked up his sixth five-wicket haul in ODIs.

Australia were bothered by the bounce on offer and lost quick wickets. They were reduced to 79/5, before Smith and Alex Carey restored some impetus. Coulter-Nile came in and changed the game completely and took the pressure off Smith. In reply, West Indian batsmen in the middle showed character, but Australia got wickets.
