Antonio Conte hits back at Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho may be one of the best managers in the world of football but he is also one of its most controversial figures. The Manchester United's manager has recently been in a war of words with former employer's Chelsea's manager Antonio Conte in the past few weeks. Now, Conte has struck back with a few harsh words. Here's more about this verbal spat!
Antonio Conte's statement about Jose Mourinho
Conte brands Mourinho as a 'little man'
The verbal war, that has broken out between the two, has only getting uglier in the past few days. Speaking after Chelsea's goalless draw against Norwich, Antonio Conte branded his predecessor as a "little man" and a "fake". "I consider him a little man, I consider him a man with a very low profile" the Chelsea manager hit back.
Mourinho's match fixing jibe against Conte
Jose Mourinho had made match fixing jibes against Conte; to which, as expected, he has not responded kindly. Conte had served a four month suspension from football in 2012-13 for failing to report the match fixing that had occurred at his former employers Siena. However, Conte was exonerated of any wrong-doing in 2016 before he took up the job with Chelsea.
Jose vs Conte turning into EPL's top rivalry
Antonio Conte's Chelsea have been the better side against Mourinho's Manchester United in three of their four meetings. The Blues also triumphed in their most recent clash at Stamford Bridge in November. Manchester United and Chelsea meet at Old Trafford in the Premier League on February 25 and plenty of action can be expected on the touch-lines.
